OVWA's mission is to promote access to safety, healing, justice and financial recovery for Ohio crime victims through meaningful rights and quality services. OVWA leads public policy initiatives for issues surrounding victims of crime, provides training and technical assistance to membership consisting of both system-based and community-based victim advocates and allied professionals, and develops best practice guidelines for crime victim advocacy programs. OVWA membership totals over 300 victim advocates, advocacy programs and allied professionals throughout the State of Ohio.
